Carb-Lover’s Diet?

Have you heard about this incredible diet? I saw it highlighted on Rachael Ray’s show today and I am dying to read the book. (I KNOW. I won’t go on a diet right now. Geeze!) But, I am seriously interested in a diet that tells me to do the opposite of everything that I’ve heard for the last ten years. Awesome.

Jen West was on RR today in her bikini. She lost 47 pounds on the Carb Lover’s Diet. She also started running and is training for a sub 4-hour marathon next month as well as an Ironman in August (WOW). I have a feeling that the diet and running go hand in hand, since runners need their carbs for energy. That sounds good to me because having enough energy to run and work out is always a huge challenge when you’re trying to watch what you eat.

  1. I’m skeptical of any forced diet. Besides, you’re super healthy. I’m sure you can eat whatever you want.

    I went down the puritan vegetarianism route for 1 1/2 years and had serious health issues because of it. After recovering, I vowed to follow the hedenistic diet–as long as the ingredients are of a high-quality, you don’t have to worry so much. Just look at the French!

  2. It’s basically not a forced diet…just one that actually suggests eating carbohydrates being not so bad for you like Atkins and many other plans suggest. I thought it was refreshing!
